Project Ara.. Conference

Google is keenly working on Project Ara, a new endeavor to build a modular smartphone, which was started while Motorola was part of the company , and Google has scheduled an Ara developer Conference on April 15-16...

The event will take place in Mountain View, California, and will be streamed online to the whole world . In fact , Google claims the Project Ara is designed for billion people. The indicates that Android maker may be working on highly affordable modular phone for the masses.

However, everything surrounding Ara has been kept under strict secrecy and nothing has leaked so far.

Google reveals that it has it's focus on releasing an alpha version of the Ara Module Developers Kit (MDK), which will hit the web as free and open platform specification reference. It will guide and contain developers through everything that's necessary to get them familiar on how to develop an Ara module.

The company wants developers and companies of  "all shapes and sizes" to give project Ara a whirl . I'll see what Google has got in store for it's modular phone concept in mid-April.

                                                                  Peace...

Galaxy S5.. First Impressions..!!

Samsung Galaxy S5 was introduced to us yesterday, at the MWC .. and to tell you the truth the device is not ground breaking, it is not the device that every one expected, it's is almost like the Galaxy S4, only the specs are little bumped up.. You can call it the Galaxy S4s..

 Hardware

Dotted Back
The first thing to notice about hardware is the back it's not like the faux leather back on the Note3 what everyone including me expected it to be, and it's not even the regular back it some kind of weird pattern that that Samsung thinks looks good or wants us to think it looks good, but i am not sure which side i am on this i don't know if i am a fan of it or not..

guess i won't know until i get my hands on it..
The next thing is noticeable about it is the home button which is a fingerprint scanner which works when you swipe your finger downwards on it ..which is also not convenient..
It has a 16MP sensor which is capable of shooting 4k video, and below it is the flash and a heart rate monitor. Yes, you read it right a heart rate monitor, and it's on the device because Samsung wants to put every feature that they can think of on their devices.
but it is fun to brag about and show off to your friends..
and At the bottom left there is you speaker
Heart rate Monitor

Software and Specification

It has a 2.5GHz Quad-core Snapdragon 801 Chipset and Adreno 330 with 2GB of RAM..
as we can see this is a beast on paper..
It's running 4.4.2 Kitkat out of the box with Touch-Wiz on top of it, and the Touch-Wiz is has got a new look with flat and new icons which is more smooth not fast but definitely smooth..

Spec sheet taken from http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_s5-6033.php
And it's also water resistant for upto 1 meter and 30 minutes
and this is it all i have right now on the Galaxy S5 .. what do you think about this device ? tell me in the comments section down below....
                                                                   Peace...

What To Expect?-Galaxy S5..!!

Galaxy S5 is one of the most anticipated phones this year and it is coming out tomorrow, and there are whole lot of rumors about this phone and hidden inside those rumors there some may be true information..
and these are my thoughts my view on what the Galaxy S5 is going to be like.

Galaxy S5 if you see it the way Samsung wants you to see is going to be and upgrade to the current Galaxy S4 but the way i see it it is going to be a small Note 3 without the stylus and may be some features missing on top..
This is not a long list won't take much of your time

Hardware

  1. Faux Leather back..like on the Note 3
  2. The home button
  3. Metal Band around the sides like Galaxy S4 and Galaxy note 3
to make it feel more premium .
  4. 16MP camera
  5. it has more chance of getting a 1080 p display than a 2K display .. and there are rumors that say Samsung will be releasing two versions of Galaxy S5 so may be just may be one of them will get 1080p and other will have a 2K display.
  6. There were rumors of getting an Iris scanner which is don't think is going to happen Samsung already has problems with their Eye tracker thing which is supposed lock the phone when you are not looking..
there are more chance of the device to get a finger print scanner

Software and Specifications

  1. It's going to come with 4.4 KitKat out of the box with the updates in the Touch-Wiz UI
  2. 2.5GHz Quad core or 1.8GHZ 4+4 cores and Snapdragon 800

This is all i expect from the Galaxy S5 tell me what you think it's going to be like in the comments section down below
                                                               Peace..

Sorry..!!

Hey.. guyz ,due to some difficulties i am not able to the What To Expect?-Galaxy S5 , i am currently working on some another project.. which you will see soon..
and i am sure you guys will love it.. well.. may be..

HTC One .. Official image ..

The HTC One successor will be announced on March 25 in London and New York. This is all the official information we have so far.

Luckily, thanks to numerous throughout the past few months we know the HTC codenamed M8 will be company's next flagship. The smartphone is tipped to come with a 5" 1080p display and a snapdragon 800 chipset ticking inside it. The most interesting feature of M8 is supposed to be the new UltraPixel technology which should use two cameras at the back and a dual-LED true-tone flash.

Anyway thanks to the notorious @evleaks we already know the HTC M8 be called the All New One. It is rumored to come in Silver, Grey and Gold flavors at launch. just hours after @evleaks told us the name and the colors, he now has the first official render of the device.

So, the All New One, which will robably call HTC One 2014, looks a lot like it's predecessor. It has slimmer screen bezels though and, of course, dual-camera setup at the back.

                                                                  Peace...

Get To Know- Ultrapixel..!!

The traditional smartphone camera resolution is measured in Megapixels 4 Megapixel cameras, 8 Megapixel, 12, 20 Megapixel cameras became normal so as we see the specs of phones like clock speed of CPU and amount of RAM and other sort of things like battery size and increase in screen size we automatically assume bigger is better. and that happens with the camera to the Megapixels count and now when we see a 12 Megapixel camera, the average consumer just assume that a 12 Megapixel is better than 8 Megapixel..

That's not completely true, the average consumer making decision with out actually knowing anything else about a camera like the lens, or the image processor, it came to be know as the Megapixel race and still kind of seen today, but the Megapixel count is just the resolution it's the resolution at the image that the sensor takes and 8 Megapixel camera sensor will take a 3264x2448 image which is significantly larger than anything that our computer monitors can show natively, usually our best computer monitors can show  5 Megapixel image natively, so you'll only be able to tell the difference between an 8 Megapixel and a 12 Megapixel image is if you do some zoom or croping or printing it on a really large paper..

HTC decided to take a risk and not get involved in the Megapixel race, instead develop their own technology until last year smartphone sensors and cameras have stayed the same size but manufacturers have been cramming more and more pixels to those, so we have seen it to go from 4MP to 8MP to 20 and higher and as you cram more and more pixels on the same size of sensor the pixels get significantly smaller and smaller which means you get less and less light per pixel when you get less light in image or less light per pixel you can see more noise and worse low light performance..
That's where HTC decided to switch things up and cram far less pixels on to the sensor, they used a 4MP sensor and yes there are far less pixels but those pixels are a lot bigger which means you'll get more light and you'll get better low light performance so the HTC One is outfitted with a 4MP camera it's take 4 MP photos which are very small comparatively but these are huge pixels which is where the Ultrapixel name comes from and since it's only a 4MP sensor HTC has decided not to even talk about the resolution count and completely change it over with Ultrapixels to mask that embarrassingly low MP count..So what's the difference in 4 Megapixel and 4 Ultrapixel camera, well nothing really we haven't seen anything that HTC said that's has confirmed any sort of difference in Ultrapixels, i mean they like to talk a lot about their technology but as far as we know may be smart phone sensors have gotten a tiny bit bigger as we have larger phone sizes so we get more room for the internals but really the individual pixel size has remained pretty small..

But the HTC on while it has the lowest Megapixels count or any smart phone today it's does have by far the largest pixels than any other high-end smartphone..
Photos that it takes in regular light are pretty average there might not be not be a whole lot of dynamic range but the photos are pretty good but they are not as sharp as 8 or 13MP camera in low light it performs amazing but it  can compete with Nokia Lumia 920 which has a massive sensor so it's a high resolution and slightly larger pixels.. These are really high-end cameras with really high-end low light images..
ON the video side of things 4MP is still significantly more than 1920x1080 so there is no sharpness problem with video but again dynamic range and color reproduction could be a little better.. so there is no problem being a 4MP sensor and that's a good sign for camera technology...

Get To Know- Anti Aliasing..!!

This is a short Get To Know. and from short i mean really  really short.. because there is not much to explain about Anti-Aliasing. some of might be reading about this and for the first time some you may have heard the name before but don't know what it does?..or How  it does what ever it does?
so with out any further due let's start this Get To Know..

Anti Aliasing refers to the technology that removes jaggys or staircase effect from your video games in real time..making them appear more smooth than they were before..
Where do jaggys or the staircase effect comes from?well, computer screens are made up of tiny squares called pixels where as real objects have rounded corners.. when you make a horizontal or vertical line with the pixels the end up making a nice straight and smooth line, but what happens when you try to make a diagonal or any kind of curve.. you will see rough stair like boundaries..that looks quiet unappealing.. anti-aliasing removes these effects

There are a wide variety of different kinds Anti-Aliasing the most basic being the MSAA and FXAA but they actually work in the same way..what they they do is they see a gap or a stair they make sample of the pixels that the stairs are made of and fill the gap with that sample but in a light shade of that color of the pixel...
You can always increase the resolution to suit to the screen and be more pleasing to your eye , but in some case  for low spec PCs that is not an option low spec PCs cannot handle high resolution the game will start to lag, and in that case Anti -Aliasing is the best option for you..

                                                                    Peace...

Get To Know- Chrome OS..!!

Chrome OS is the the OS running on Chrome books.. (that's in it's name i know).. Google Chrome is the entire operating system, there is no Windows, no MacOS, no Linux, you just turn on the Chrome books and Google Chrome is on the screen..
Now according to me and give it a +1 if you agree, Google chrome is ahead of it's time it's little bit too far in the future and it's trying to make it's here in the present that's why it's not doing so well..
It's from a time when everything you do on your computer like video editing, playing high graphics intensive game, running heavy software and making heavy software can be done on the internet you don't need large number of Gigabytes on your PC it's just on the internet anything and everything you can think of..
Yes.. that awesome future, that's the time where Chromebooks belong..

but anyway.. Chrome OS has a really really fast resuming from hibernation time and everything that's great about Google Chrome is there in Chrome OS just a little faster if you use Google chrome you probably know that you can sync your devices Chrome and get all the books marks and app you install on any of your device running Chrome.

Speaking of Apps it's a thing you just have to have on any device apps that help you get through the day and make it easy.. you cannot just browse the web all day..so there is an App store of Chrome called the Chrome Webstore and the number of Apps available grows everyday..
You can watch movies on your chrome and also run your Word documents..

Starting Chromebooks
Chormbook Pixel..
Previously Chromebooks were considered to be a low-end spec cheap laptop and critics called it "just a Glorified browser" and that i already have Google Chrome on my PC or Mac.. but it's more than that.. last year Google launched a high-end spec Chromebooks and named it the Chromebook Pixel.. Pixel has a Dual-core Intel i5 1.8GHz processor and $GB of RAM that's really good..i have a already posted a Get To Know Chromebook Pixel.. so be sure to check that out, link to is at the bottom.. and it's has a touch screen display with the highest resolution display you can get on a Laptop..

Pixels
Chrome OS is certainly growing and making it's way into our lives but it's cannot just easily replace Mac and Windows, but in the future that is going to happen.. from the view of an average person it is still a glorified browser Google is working to make it something more that just a browser..i am waiting for that to happen..

Tell me if you use a Chromebook and if you like it or not, in the comments section down below..

Rumor Mill..!!

Nokia X (Normandy) launching this month..

According to the Wall Street Journal, Nokia will release it's first Android smartphone this month. Known as the Nokia Normandy, the low-cost handset will be debuting at MWX in Barcelona..

According to the WSJ's sources, Nokia was hard on the device while Microsoft was performing due diligence prior to it's acquisition of the Finnish company. The smartphone will allegedly go official as Nokia X.
Unsurprisingly, the device is tipped to launch without Google Play support, similarly to Amazon's Kindle products. Instead, it will focused on the service provided by Microsoft and Nokia. In line with recent leaks, the UI of the upcoming smartphone is also said to be closely related to Microsoft's Windows 8 phones.
as we have seen already in some of the leaked pictures...

Rumored specs of the Nokia X include dual core Snapdragon 200Soc, Dual SIM, 4-inch WVGA display, 4GB of built-in memory, and 512MB of RAM. The handset will reportedly be priced in line with the Nokia Asha devices..

i'll keep you guyz updated if i see any progress related to this ..

Get To Know- Ultrabooks..

Ultrabooks are the thinnest PC  you can buy and they are not just thins but have high-end specs and hours and hours of battery back up and above average resume from hibernation time.. But there are a lot of Laptops that have all these things but not considered an Ultra books.. so that what we are going to talk about..
There are certain things that make an Ultrabook ans actually make it different than Netbook, a Laptop or a Notebook or other things like that.. you need to meet a certain set of specification as defined of Intel . who pretty much came out wit the category as sort of marketing campaign to compete with MacbookAir, which technically is not an Ultrabook..

If the machine doesn't live up to the specs defined by Intel it's just not an Ultrabook . Besides the Intel processor there is a size requirement.. they cannot be fat.. Ultrabooks with 13.3-inch or smaller display can't be thicker than 20mm.. and for Ultrabooks having 14-inch or larger display the it's 23mm..and 23mm for convertibles..
Battery life should be atleast 5hours and it has to resume from hibernation in 3 seconds or less..

this requirement list gets updated every year and with the last update the I/O section got a lot of things packed inside... like it has to have a touch screen and voice command and to have a Wireless Display. or WiDi- it's an Intel's technology which allows you to stream videos, music, apps from your Ultrabook to a compatible HDTV..

Is Macbook Air an Ultra book? that's a question i get asked a lot.. Well technically No, because Apple doesn't use the software that's in the requirements called "Rapid Start" which is what helps the Ultrabooks to resume from sleep so fast but the Macbook Air resumes from sleep that fast anyway, So i would say it fits most of the specs to be an Ultrabook.. Close enough Apple.. Close Enough...

Source- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ultrabook

and Windows having Windows is not a requirement to be an Ultrabook..

So this is it.. those are Ultrabooks pretty simple definition actually i am really looking forward to the requirements list gets updated and see how they evolve..

If you have any questions in mind related to this or some other stuff leave it in the comments section down below, i'll be glad to check it out.

Flappy bird to fly away...!!!

Love Flappy bird? well i,have got some sad news: turns out the game 's developer, Dong Nguyen, is taking the popular title down...

He tweeted the information, which indicates that the game will be pulled offline tomorrow.

Nobody knows the reason exactly.. but he did receive some backlash from the fans who pestered him for creating a title that was inspired by the Mario Bros. series so that may have been one of the deciding factors that led Nguyen to take down the app.

The game gained widespread popularity almost immediately, getting iPhone, Android and even Windows phone versions very quickly. The game was earning almost around $10,000 a day, which makes it's even more confusing why would he take it down..

Tell me what you feel after reading this news, and i now i am going to play Flappy bird do leave you thoughts in the comments section down below....

Get To Know- Chromebook Pixel ..!! Part-2

Part- 1 of this "Get To Know" ended on displaying it's price.. in case you didn't catch the Part-1 the link to that is down at the bottom.. in this part we are going to talk about the purpose of this machine, the reason why Google made this in the first place..the real reason it actually exists right now..

And for that we take a look at Google's blog which says, "this brings together the best in hardware, software and design to inspire the next generation of Chromebooks."

This is a halo product , this is the Nexus 10 and the Nexus 4 of Chromebooks this is the inspiration for the next hardware manufacturers to start making high-end Chromebooks with high-end specs, right now all we have seen so far $250-$300 cheap plastic sort of basic Chromebooks this is the inspiration for the next generation of Chromebooks..
In it's creation it's not really made for average consumer, it's not made to sell well, it's not a flagship it's just a Chromebook..

But, What is the real purpose of this Chromebook pixel..?
The Chromebook pixel is really just an experiment but the one that's crucial for Chrome OS, it may not sell well at all in fact the probably won't and the Chromebook team may not care how it sell after all, what they will watch closely is what will happen next? in the Chrome web store, it's kind of like what Nexus 1 did for Android ..
consider 2 biggest complaints you have heard about Chromebooks in the past few years..
  1. Cheap hardware
  2. It lacks applications
so critics are calling it just a glorified web browser most of the reviews will contain that it's too expensive or the hardware is premature but we repeatedly see in blogposts and ads from Google that the Chromebook Pixel really is "For what's next" ..

Google has shown us with the Pixel that they are addressing hardware first and doing so on it's own they are not relying on Samsung or Acer or HP or anyone else and they are doing it so boldly, no longer are Chromebooks anonymous or low budget hardware they can be cutting edge and specs are no longer an excuse so now we have high-end hardware..

And now Chrome OS needs to step up it needs cutting edge applications to make it more than just a glorified web browser and the Chrome team knows this for a while and the certianly know the missing elements and what they need .. it's what consumers have said it's keeping them from adopting Chrome OS and to totally switch from Windows or Macbooks, user need powerful apps, games and even powerful photo and video editing apps and the web store has to be better it has to offer that, the ground work has now been laid over the over all these years with the cheap Chromebooks and Google needs the developers to make the rest happen , they also need a Chromebook to get excited about . That's the Chromebooks Pixel..

Over time you'll see Google doing it's best to get the Pixel in hands of and in the minds of as many developers as possible and it is in there ..

Until then the Chrome team will continue to push development until the web is all users really need reducing hardware dependencies and bringing in thing from Android like notifications and Google Now.

So with the apps getting powerful enough and the Pixel is obviously powerful so the Chromebooks will become more than just a glorified web browser in  the eye of the Consumer..

I don't personally own the Chromebook Pixel so cannot give you any word on it's performance or it's touch screen there is not a Chromebooks Pixel review coming any time soon..
but from what i could gather from the internet mixing it with my personal opinion, Buy the Chromebook Pixel if you use you laptop to browse web and watch movies  play media it's can also  show you Word documents so there is a plus point, but in this range of price you can get a Laptop which can do more..

If your are a developer or just loves Chrome OS and the awesome and unique hardware and don't care about the price you can just go ahead and buy one..

Get To Know- Chrome Book Pixel..!! Part-1...

Many of us thought that Chromebooks were dying or dead breed but one of them has been the number 1 best selling laptop on Amazon since the first that that it was introduced Chrome Books have been doing really well as very cheap but also very easy to use laptops, They are basically a $250 laptop that you can get for mom of grandma or something like that and it just runs Google chrome you can use all Chrome web apps and everything like that and it's doing pretty well just as a basic product like that ..
Last year a very interesting video came out that sort of showed a high-end looking Chromebook with soft of a Retina display and all those really interesting things that we would loved to see but never really happened but it was dismissed as a non-real product..

But later Google came out with announced and made available the Chromebook pixel and looked sort of a bit like squred off Macbook Pro, it looks good and the specs are actually high-end..
Let's start off with the display that's basically the highlight of the hardware this thing is called the Chromebook pixel because it is a 13-inch 2560x1700 display which gives it a Pixel density of 239ppi that makes it the number 1 highest pixel density on any laptop display out there, it's also a 3:2 aspect ratio which might seem a little bit weird especially if you are going to do media consumption on this thing, but when you think about it, it's a Chromebook  you're going to use it entirely for web browsing and media consumption and for that extra vertical pixels are better than not enough pretty much because every website scrolls down you are going to be able to fit as many things as possible on that display so the extra pixels are definitely helpful..

And then it's a 400 nit display that's the screen brightness and that's a real high number, so the display on the Chromebook pixel is already very high end and it's touch screen so the touch screen layer adds a whole new level of interaction and and sort of immediate experience, and you can tap[ it just like any other Android device or tablet you can tap to play and pause videos and you can tap like the way you use your mouse . sort of the same way you can use Windows 8 touch screen laptops ..

So this is absolutely a very high-end display and it is probably why they named it the Chromebook Pixel..

Inside it. is a Dual-core 1.8GHz Core i5 Processor with integrated graphics, and around the outside it looks pretty good and classy it's made of Aluminium, it has two USB 2.0 ports a mini display port and a SD card reader and up top is an HD webcam, There is a WiFi only version of this guy for only version for this guy having storage of 32GB that's basically $1300 , there is and LTE version of this guy that has 64BG of storage all the links for that are down at the bottom ..

Seems like in terms of pure specs this thing is shooting at the 13-inch Retina Macbook Pro + the touch screen .. but when you consider this entire package comes in a 4pound body and just 16.2mm thick which is thinner and lighter than that 13inch Macbook Pro ..

Full Specs Chromebook Pixel..

There's been a lot of talk about the price of the Chromebook Pixel at $1300 base price it seems a little bit high, very high actually  but when you think about it still seems very high ..

To be Continued...

This is getting a really loong Get To Know. so i am doing this in two Part. second part will be out by on the next day when this is online..

Rumor Mill..!!

LG G Pro 2 announcement scheduled for February 13..

LG G Pro 2 was initially expected to come at the MWC (Mobile World Congress) at the end of February , but it now appears that the Korean phablet will be debuting sooner. LG has sent out invitations for an event in Korea that will take place on February 13 and it's second gen phablet is most likely star of the show..

Leaked images

Given that LG has no other high profile products expected to debut this month, it will be a surprise if the D pro 2 isn't the reason behind this. The successor of the Optimus G Pro has already appeared in a coupla of live photos, showing it's back-mounted keys and what the rumor mill says is a 6-inch 1080p display.

Back when it was announced in early 2013, the Optimus G Pro was one of the best phablet in the market, but LG took way too long bringing it to the market and the device never reached it's full potential. Hopefully the Koreans have learned there lesson this time and there will be no hiccups this time..

Screenshot from HTC M8

HTC M8 is said to be the successor of our beloved HTC one.. the images is leaked by @evleaks who has a good record for leaking images of phones and apps..
From ehat we can see in the image is that it's all icons a white, like the battery icon wifi icon and everything else.. like it's on Android 4.4 Kitkat. so we can say the HTC M8 is going to launch with KitKat out of the Box.. and it's navigation bar and notification bar are transparent ..

and the dialer app the message internet and the camera app icons are glowing a little.. bit which gives it a nice touch..
we all have huge expectation from the M8 and from what's floating on the internet it's suppoes to come out in March but there is possibility that of it debuting at MWC..at the end of February..

Get to Know- Project Ara.

Motorola when it was under Google revealed something that they are working on Project Ara which is yet another concept of a modular smartphone sounds familiar right? you have seen this before if you have read the Get To "Know- Phone Bloks" i did last night if you didn't catch that i have a link to it down at the bottom..
But the thing is Phone Bloks didn't come from a large manufacturer, it did not come from a big company looking to actually change the game, it came from a smaller YouTube video maker, who was just looking to spread the idea about something he believed in ..

After Phone Bloks was in everyone's mind Motorola revealed that they have been working on this "Ara" concept for a modular smartphone for more than a year or so, so we are supposed to believe that these two had absolutely nothing to do with each other until last year when they got together and said .. Alright let's do this ,let's make his a thing we have the same idea let's just collaborate and make this happen and after that there is a Motorola Blog post about it, there is an updated Phone Bloks video about it.

This is a possibility that Google/ Motorola and Dave from Phone Bloks have been working together way longer than they tell us and it is possible that the Phone Bloks concept was just a marketing campaign or an experiment to see how people react to it.. It's all possible but i am just going with what they are saying..
I'll believe that they are actually collaborating on this, i'll believe for a minute that this is an amazing coincidence ..

When i first thought about Phone Bloks i talked about how that idea was essentially pretty unrealistic, it seem unreasonable, the whole concept had very few technical details at all , involved in that video it was almost a marketing campaign...

But how is Ara different from Phone Bloks?
ON the surface it's not, it's the same concept it's slightly better looking design it's more convincing rthat you would carry a phone looking like that ,but the idea is the same..
The biggest change here and the reason why it's making headlines is Google is now behind it, it is something which is lining between a huge success or a huge failure, This is according to the blogpost being worked on by Google and Motorola for over a year at that time,  which means if Google's engineering power and it's financial support are putting effort in this in research and development, into making an idea like this actually happen..
If it happens to be a success than it'll be because Google an Motorola actually care about fundamentally changing the way we see and use our smartphones, and that is huge, that is bold and dangerous and very risky, but it's awesome.
For this we should consider Google Glass, Smart watches, the First iPhone, where they were the first of there form factor, they were the first to do what they do and it might not seem that modular smart phone is entirely new form factor , but they are something that's never been done before, and something that's never done before always starts off with a very expensive and very controversial way ..
So i say let;s give it a chance may be some how it becomes a reality of our daily lives ..

And even if it does fail it good that someone is trying to innovate and change the way see smart phones today..

We all Know that Google has sold Motorola to Lenovo and some of you might think what about the Project Ara you should know that Project Ara team is still with Google, and the whole team has now shfited into Google office to Mountain View, California..

Tell me what do you think about owning a phone for couple of years more that two years by changing the parts, are you into this idea?
Thanks for reading this and be sure to share it and give a plus one if you like it..
                                                                     Peace...

Get To Know- PhoneBloks

You might have heard or read or watched about Phone Bloks if you haven't this is gping to be really interesting..

Phone Bloks

Phone Bloks is the idea of totally modular smartphone it comes from the notion that when people are done with a smartphone and it's time to replace it, it's usually because of a single reason, May be it's getting too slow or they don't like the camera any more or maybe the screen broke and they throw out the entire phone, even thought the rest of the phones is still perfectly fine and That creates a lot of unnecessary waste ..

So the Phone Bloks concept is is a sort of a central motherboard or base, that all the rest of the parts plug into in a sort of a block shape kind of like legos, this way if someone decides they don't like part of the smart phone and they want to change a certain thing they don't have to throw out the whole phone they can just remove, attach, rearrange the part of the smartphone to create exactly what they want..

There are couple of logistics things to consider about Phone Bloks .

  1. Who is going to make the Blocks? in the concept video they showed that they want to get the attention of big developers and work with very big companies and get them to make block so people can buy parts from trusted manufactures in there custom phone. like speakers from Bose, camera from SONY, Canon Processor choices from Intel  and Qualcomm..
  2. This is a very expensive concept building a phone the equivalent of Samsung Galaxy S4 on paper for ex- out of blocks would end up pricing twice as much and it would be a much much  larger device..
This is because smartphones makers right now have something called supply chain they are just cranking hundreds and thousands even millions or identical smartphone off the assembly line, the devices they are making have a very specific extremely compact design.
If you have ever taken apart a phone or even just look inside the back cover you see these parts are tied together really tight ..making the phone very thin and light.
With the same smartphone design the more devices they crank out the more streamlined the process gets and the lower the costs get ..

But building the individual smartphones parts like processor, camera , gyroscope and all the other sensors and the battery without weaving them together that's going to be a very large and very expensive smartphone

So here is a thing about Phone Bloks, the idea itself is very cool  and very positive and motives are all great the logistics behind it  are damn near impossible, to pull off right now, but impossible has happened before a 50 years ago having a taking nice pictures with your phone or even having a phone that can go eveywhere with you was unthinkable..
Essentially it's not a brand new or revolutionary idea, it's just the first time has been packaged in a 2min YouTube video sweet animations with 3D graphics that anyone can understand, and i hope it does really well i am totally to have a totally modular Smartphone..

If you want to tell about this to your friend or people be sure to share it..
                                                                     Peace..
