And for that we take a look at Google's blog which says, "this brings together the best in hardware, software and design to inspire the next generation of Chromebooks."

This is a halo product , this is the Nexus 10 and the Nexus 4 of Chromebooks this is the inspiration for the next hardware manufacturers to start making high-end Chromebooks with high-end specs, right now all we have seen so far $250-$300 cheap plastic sort of basic Chromebooks this is the inspiration for the next generation of Chromebooks..
In it's creation it's not really made for average consumer, it's not made to sell well, it's not a flagship it's just a Chromebook..
But, What is the real purpose of this Chromebook pixel..?
The Chromebook pixel is really just an experiment but the one that's crucial for Chrome OS, it may not sell well at all in fact the probably won't and the Chromebook team may not care how it sell after all, what they will watch closely is what will happen next? in the Chrome web store, it's kind of like what Nexus 1 did for Android ..
consider 2 biggest complaints you have heard about Chromebooks in the past few years..
- Cheap hardware
- It lacks applications
Google has shown us with the Pixel that they are addressing hardware first and doing so on it's own they are not relying on Samsung or Acer or HP or anyone else and they are doing it so boldly, no longer are Chromebooks anonymous or low budget hardware they can be cutting edge and specs are no longer an excuse so now we have high-end hardware..
And now Chrome OS needs to step up it needs cutting edge applications to make it more than just a glorified web browser and the Chrome team knows this for a while and the certianly know the missing elements and what they need .. it's what consumers have said it's keeping them from adopting Chrome OS and to totally switch from Windows or Macbooks, user need powerful apps, games and even powerful photo and video editing apps and the web store has to be better it has to offer that, the ground work has now been laid over the over all these years with the cheap Chromebooks and Google needs the developers to make the rest happen , they also need a Chromebook to get excited about . That's the Chromebooks Pixel..
Over time you'll see Google doing it's best to get the Pixel in hands of and in the minds of as many developers as possible and it is in there ..
Until then the Chrome team will continue to push development until the web is all users really need reducing hardware dependencies and bringing in thing from Android like notifications and Google Now.
So with the apps getting powerful enough and the Pixel is obviously powerful so the Chromebooks will become more than just a glorified web browser in the eye of the Consumer..
I don't personally own the Chromebook Pixel so cannot give you any word on it's performance or it's touch screen there is not a Chromebooks Pixel review coming any time soon..
but from what i could gather from the internet mixing it with my personal opinion, Buy the Chromebook Pixel if you use you laptop to browse web and watch movies play media it's can also show you Word documents so there is a plus point, but in this range of price you can get a Laptop which can do more..
If your are a developer or just loves Chrome OS and the awesome and unique hardware and don't care about the price you can just go ahead and buy one..
That is it.. tell me your views on the Chromebooks or specifically on the Chromebook Pixel in the comments section down below..
Peace...
