Hardware and Design

Basically it is the bigger version of the iPad mini , no i mean actually it is the same hardware as the retina iPad mini same proportions same internals just spread out to have a 9.7 inch display , it's like some one huge stomped on the iPad mini and flattened it out ..and Boom you got the iPad Air..

you get the thin bezels from the iPad mini you get the flat unibody aluminium back in the design you get the beautiful construction from iPad mini and you get extremely reflective Apple logo from the iPad mini. 

Infact it's is easier to talk about the ways this is different from the iPad mini and those would be the size , the battery and a slightly different processor..iPad mini has a 1GHz dual core processor where the iPad Air has 1.3GHz dual core processor..it is not a big difference the biggest difference is the Size and this is why they named Air ,when they could just name it iPad 5 it is called the Air because it is just 7.5mm thin and only weighs 378g this is the same thinness as the i Phone5s and it weighs way less than any other full size tablet out there 30% less than the all plastic Nexus 10 that's really impressive that and the over all new flattened shape of the tablet makes a massive difference in how easy it is to hold , i do prefer the soft touch feel like the device Nexus 10 for watching a movie for a long period of time, but this new shape of Air is big improvement from the sharp corners of the previous iPad and that is a welcome..

There is something that iPad keeps doing well is the build quality and this iPad Air is no exception ,it is beautifully crafted and screams quality from each point. Asus if you are still working on the new Nexus take notes ..

Camera it has a 5MP sensor and shoots 1080p videos.. it is the thing that a lot of people are concerned about but the iPad Air has the best camera i have ever seen in a tablet ,it is a really good front and back facing camera and that's all i am gonna say not going to tell how it is the best? not even how it perform well in any situation ? i am just saying it take better quality photos and videos not going to tell you how i figured that out...?.. 

there are something that you expect to have it this tablet but they are not ,like there is no finger print scanner or the touch id like Apple is calling it ,i think it could have been more useful here like whole family would share an iPad and they all log in with there fingerprint and not worry about messy user switching ..

but the next iPads will have it probably not a big deal..

The only thing that i didn't like inthis or in every other iPad is the speakers , the are big and loud ,crisp and clear  but they are all on the same side of the device on the bottom which means it fires side ways audio in landscape mode.. other than that the hardware is great ..

Specifications And Software

Software is iOS 7 it feel so conservative i mean after using an i phone for a while and now using an iPad it almost feels efficient to use iOS on this large display infact iPads have the opposite problem that Android tablets have right now , in an iPad everyone's home screen is same icon and folders just like the phone no widgets no glance able information just a blown up phone interface ..

the interface is like the iPhone's too just spread out more it seems inefficient it seems waste full..

but when you dive into the applications there are hundreds and thousands of optimized applications for the iPad you'll get some of the most impressive functionality and insane wealth of apps to choose from designed specifically for the iPad and for the retina display and when you open them you get that entire display size it takes up the whole screen and and gives tons of information on your finger tips in an entirely different way than it ever would on your phone .. 

This is the opposite on Android tablets on Android tablets the play store is what's lacking the tablet apps and a surprising amount of apps are not optimized for a 10 inch display and the high resolution and using those apps feels almost waste full ,it feels like you are wasting space but the home screen is where you can really enjoy an Android tablet , you can add new icons widgets folders and launchers to get information on your homescreen but i'l talk about it some other time..

When you are using these application on the iPad Air is a really good performer ... it has a 1.3GHz of Apples A7 chip and 1GB of RAM but with iOS that's All you need  ..

It is just about the perfect handheld gaming device , it has a huge battery so you can game forever and has a very very light weight so it's not going to fatigue you to hold it and has Apple's newest chip keeps the frame rates high and with a 9.7inch 1538x2048 resolution 300ppi that create most impressive gaming experience out there in any tablet ..

and the battery is not bigger in size only it has a great great great battery life ina device that is 7.5mm thin they managed to put a 8820MAh  and it goes on a charge it can go for more tah 2 days easily even after the heavy use i put on devices when i test them ..you can play games and browse the web and play more game and browse the web and play eve more game and browse the web..and this thing will not quit ..

i really tried very hard to burn the thing in whole day and i was unsuccessful stand by time is also great on this thing .. you can got o sleep at 60% and wake up at 60% .

 So basically the strengths of the iPad Air is the performance and build and the weaknesses are in the software which can be easily fixed by a software update ..

Fun fact-if you want to crash iPad air turn on setting and tap on brightness and wallpapers twice and it crash i don't know why but it does that every time..

over all this is a very similar iPad experience if you like iPad then you know you are going to like the Air too..

I you have iPad 1 this is a cool update iPad 2 you'l love this iPad 3 or 4 this is better than all becuase of it's thinness and light weight ..no huge performance boost just the beautiful build quality and the same alomost same performance but people who love iPad will love this in first sight..
