LG Gflex is one of the most interesting phones in the world ..and a video of it went viral about the time it was launched .. and in that video was about it's self healing technology and durability and ever since that's what people want to know about when they hear the name LG Gfelx so that's what this review is for all about it's self healing and flexibility.. of this device so i am not going to talk about the specs because they are just same as of the LG G2 and the software is almost same..
If you want to know about the LG G2 Link to my review is at the bottom...
Flexibility And Durability
The self healing of this ridiculous device ..there are two aspects of this phone..For the backing material in their video they scratch the back up and down next two a regular backing ,then after two minutes of sitting actually completely heals (almost)..while the regular phone is still scratched ,The back of the phone is backing is very smooth and glossy like the Galaxy S4's ,so it's easy to tell when you have scratched it ,cause you can run you finger over the scratch and feel it 's there..
in the video the have a bronze brush rubbing the back of the phone with super even strokes and i am not convinced that this translates a real life scenario unless you walking around with steel wool in your pocket ..
So i decided to do a little test of my own ,the way i see the thing you put in the same pocket as your phone are keys ..so it started of pretty smooth i was able to put scratches with my keys, i don't like intentionally scratching a phone , but i still did it for you guy , so leave a+1 for that, but sure enough after a few minutes were mostly minimized ,not completely gone but definitely way less noticeable than they were fresh ,it would be awesome if you dropped your phone on concrete and pick it up ,put it in your pocket, walk home, and after a while when look for scratches they are not on the phone..
But take a look back on the official video from LG you don't have to have eagle eyes to see that is an ad and they are using optimal controlled conditions for that experiment and part of those conditions that they chose was. air temperature of 27.4 degree Celsius which is 81 degree Fahrenheit ,the equivalent of a very warm day ,i don't have that conditions where i am right now , i am in New Delhi ,India and it's really cold here, so i decided to rub back of the phone to simulate some of the heat now as crazy you may look , trying to warm up your phone by clutching against your body or playing some intensive games as long as your are not microwaving it, you can really accelerate the healing process a little bit..
After that i took a knife and and put a really nasty scratch on it's back and after a few hours it is still there ,i mean it's not that noticeable anymore but you can still see it when you look really hard on the back.. but it is still better than any smartphone out there ..
And the last part of it's healing is in the name Gflex, and ladies and gentlemen do not try this at home unless you have Gflex , i put the phone on my table with screen on top, and pressed it down from top and bottom of the phone and i made the curve of the phone totally flat, and did it again after flipping it over made it flat again and still it's working,
i don't know how the Gflex does it, it has a 4000mAh battery in there but it can still loose and gain back it's shape ,that is really amazing,
We can not do this with the other curved display device we can get right and yes, i am talking about the Galaxy Round, but both the phones do the job as their names say the Galaxy Round is just round and the LG Gflex in really flexible..
so that's it , leave your thoughts about the Gflex in the comments section down below..
Peace...
