Get To Know- 4G And LTE..!!

What is 4G ? exactly..i mean we have seen it  on all sorts of carrier branding and commercials and stuff sometimes we see it on the back of our phones but there is no widely accepted definition of it..So let's try to explain that..
As far as the name goes 4G the "G" stands for "Generation" of wireless technology ,with each new generation you get significantly faster data speeds but it becomes incompatible with the previous generation devices so you will never see a 3G phone working on a 4G network and there are carriers that have both 4G and 3G network..
but let me just tell you about the previous generations

  1. the first G or 1G was the old  analog cellular systems started in 1980's and were made only for the purpose of calling..
  2. 2G was somewhere around 10-200kbps and use digital signals, The first iPhone was 2G .. fun fact..
    Launched in 1990's..
  3. 3G Is a much faster digital and it starts at around 384kbps+ ..
  4. 4G systems like LTE starts at  5mbps which is a lot higher than all the other previous generations that we have seen ..and it's not just faster than 3G ,4G has a lot more capacity than 3G network ,so you are going to see a lot less bandwidth caps when you are on 4G..
But the complication that has people wondering ,what really is 4G ?is because there are some really modern 3G networks which are faster then the beginning of 4G ,like HSPA+ it's 3G basically but it's a realy fast 3G around 7mbps ..
And one other difference between 4G and 3G is that in order to hop on the new 4G network ,like i have mentioned above it is incompatible with the previous generation device ,you have to get a 4G device ..or some how fix a 4G radio in you device..
and also 4G radios are very much power hungry this was the reason why we didn't get a 4G quad core device.. because that's just too much for a battery too handle.. but we don't have this problem anymore..
And in case you are wondering LTE - Long Term Evolution. and HSPA - High Speed Packet Access..

For my Indian friends 4G will most probably some to your city this year Airtel is the first carrier to introduce 4G it's already launched in Kolkata ,Bangluru ,Pune and Chandigarh it's not going to take much time to take over whole country  ..
but bad news for all Vodafone user because has no near future plan to get 4G services on your network..
Marten Pieters, the managing director and CEO of Vodafone India said "It's too early for 4G in India. the market is not ready and it will take some time to get the ecosystem ready"
well my thought on Vodafone are , i don't know what you are thinking Marten Pieters or what your plans are by not launching 4G in India , but this decision can cost you a lot of users including me.. And keep it up Airtel i really appreciate your move by launching 4G in India..

If any of you have any further questions about 4G leave it in the comments sections down below ,i'll be glad to answer it ...
